I find myself often procrastinating on daily tasks that don’t even take a half-hour to complete. Talk about doing dishes, household things, or setting your wardrobe; I get involved in watching random videos on Facebook, scrolling through Instagram, and whatnot.

To overcome my procrastination, I found a technique in my online course that is called Pomodoro Technique. It is a technique that helps you focus on your series of tasks or a single task dividing them into intervals of 25 minutes with short breaks. It helps you to improve your focus and concentration and helps you to complete your tasks way before your deadlines.

Ramadan has just started, which means you will be utilizing your whole piles of clothes, and in the meanwhile, I realized that my closet is a mess. I decided to utilize the time before Sehri to do this task which I have been delaying.
I set an alarm of 25 minutes and started to arrange my casual and formal section. In the first interval, the only distraction was WhatsApp notifications which I checked from the lock screen and got back to folding clothes. A little distraction, never mind. Time for a 5 minutes break in which I stretched out.

After the break, I quickly arranged the other portion of my closet which included scarves and bags and I can gladly say it was completed way before the timer rang and there were no distraction. I deserved a pat.

What I learnt from this technique is that Breaks are must to remain consistent in your tasks and also a reminder.

I will surely implement this technique to prepare for exams and to do assignments.

There’s no next time. It’s just Now or Never.
